🏕️Россия впервые получит бензин из Турции

Россия до конца августа может получить первую партию бензина из Турции, сообщает S&P Global Commodities at Sea (CAS). По данным аналитиков, из порта Мерсин направляется танкер Wendrix класса MR (дедвейт 25–50 тыс. тонн), объем партии — 200 тыс. баррелей. Согласно VesselFinder, судно направляется в один из балтийских портов. Место производства загруженного на танкер топлива неизвестно.

☑️Эта импортная поставка бензина станет пятой с июля, о которых стало известно. По данным CAS и Kpler, которые приводят аналитики, за последний месяц Россия приняла три судна, загруженных на индийском терминале Вадинар путем перегрузки с судна на судно вблизи Египта. Еще одна партия бензина прибыла из Марокко, происхождение этого топлива неизвестно: единственный в стране НПЗ был закрыт в 2015 году, указывают в S&P Global.

☑️Общий объем морских поставок бензина в Россию с конца июля аналитики оценивают более чем в 1 млн баррелей. Вице-премьер Александр Новак сообщал 19 августа, что на российском топливном рынке складывается второй этап напряженной ситуации. Позже он отметил, что ситуация постоянно меняется, и несколько заводов уже вернулись в эксплуатацию. «Соответственно с учетом логистики мы ожидаем увеличение объема поставок»,— цитировал чиновника 22 августа «Интерфакс». Днем позже Александр Новак уточнил, что проблемы есть только с бензином, тогда как дизтоплива и керосина достаточно.

Вторая волна топливного кризиса в России набирает обороты, поэтому правительству приходится искать все новых поставщиков бензина за границей. До конца августа должна поступить первая партия бензина из Турции — танкер с 200 тысячами баррелей топлива направляется из порта Мерсин в один из портов Балтики, сообщает S&P Global Commodities at Sea.

Порт Мерсин включен в санкционный список Украины, а танкер Wendrix, на котором везут груз, находится под санкциями Евросоюза, Великобритании, Украины и Швейцарии. Так что есть некоторый риск, что посылка не дойдет до получателя.

Эта поставка станет первой зафиксированной морской поставкой бензина из Турции в Россию и пятой зарубежной партией топлива, доставленной в страну морем с июля текущего года.

Никому неизвестно, сколько еще продлится война и "денефтефикация" РФ (второе тесно связано с первым). Но если планировать и дальше "войну на истощение", то как будто имеет смысл начинать инвестировать в новые нефтеперерабатывающие мощности в сопредельных странах. Цена 95-го бензина в Турции сейчас — около 120 рублей за литр, в пересчете по курсу, дизтоплива — 140 рублей.

📍 Why in News? ✅ PIB released a backgrounder on Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) on 21 August 2026. ✅ The scheme aims to ensure remunerative prices, reduce distress sales and stabilise food prices. ✅ ₹7,200 crore allocated under PM-AASHA for 2026–27.

📍 About PM-AASHA ✅ Launched in September 2018. ✅ Brings multiple price-support mechanisms under one framework. ✅ Procurement of pulses, oilseeds and copra is undertaken through agencies such as NAFED and NCCF.

📍 4 Key Components ✅ Price Support Scheme (PSS) – Procurement at MSP when market prices fall below MSP; mainly pulses, oilseeds and copra. ✅ Price Stabilization Fund (PSF) – Buffer stocks of commodities such as pulses, onions and potatoes to control price volatility. ✅ Price Deficiency Payment Scheme (PDPS) – Pays farmers the difference between MSP and market price, without physical procurement; mainly oilseeds. ✅ Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) – Intervention for perishable horticultural crops such as tomato, onion and potato when prices fall sharply.

Gold holds above $4,500 as dollar weakness and Treasury actions support rally

Gold prices stayed above $4,500 an ounce on Friday, extending a rally that has lifted the metal about 4% this week. The advance has been driven by lower U.S. Treasury yields, a weaker dollar, and ongoing policy and geopolitical developments.

“Harvard University has been ordered to pay $53 million to settle a class-action lawsuit filed by families whose loved ones’ remains, donated in good faith for medical research, were stolen and sold by Cedric Lodge, the man who managed Harvard Medical School’s morgue for nearly thirty years.

A Boston state court judge granted preliminary approval to the settlement this week, years after Lodge’s arrest for systematically removing and trafficking human body parts.

Federal prosecutors established that Lodge had been stealing organs and remains since at least 2018, taking heads, faces, brains, skin, and hands from cadavers entrusted to the university.

He transported the parts to his home in New Hampshire and, working with his wife Denise, sold them to buyers in Pennsylvania and other states.

Court filings detail that the stolen inventory included entire heads and faces removed from donors, intact brains, sheets of human skin, and multiple pairs of hands.

Among the most disturbing transactions was the sale of human skin that buyers later tanned into leather specifically for use in binding a book.

In another instance a man’s complete face was sold, prompting Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan Martin to describe the episode as a “deeply horrifying reality” and to note that the face may have been kept on a shelf or put to even more disturbing uses.

Lodge was sentenced to eight years in prison, while Denise Lodge received just over one year for her role in the operation.

The families who brought the lawsuit accused Harvard of negligence, contending that the university failed to intervene despite years of opportunity to stop Lodge’s activities.

Their claims were initially dismissed but were revived by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, which found the allegations sufficient to support assertions that Harvard had acted in bad faith while the donated remains endured “horrific and undignified treatment.”

In a message to the medical-school community, Dean George Daley and Dean for Medical Education Bernard Chang called Lodge’s actions “despicable, abhorrent, and a flagrant betrayal of our values as a medical community.”

Under the terms of the settlement, Harvard must also deliver a formal statement to the affected families acknowledging that the conduct was “morally reprehensible” and will establish an annual scholarship, beginning in the 2027–2028 academic year, in honor of those who donated their bodies for research.

Attorney John Morgan, whose firm represented many of the families, expressed hope that the resolution will help ensure no other family suffers the same violation.

The $53 million payment closes the legal case, yet it leaves unresolved the deeper breach of trust that occurred when bodies given for the advancement of medicine were instead treated as commodities on the black market.

No sum of money can erase the image of human faces and skin turned into inventory, or restore the final dignity that was stripped from people who thought their last contribution would serve the living.

This scandal forces a stark question upon every institution that accepts anatomical gifts: if the dead can be so thoroughly violated inside one of the world’s most respected medical schools, how many other silent betrayals remain undiscovered?”

Morning Aalert.. *Core industries growth slows to 5.4% in July as iron ore, power ease* Growth in India’s nine core sectors decelerated to 5.4 per cent in July from an upwardly revised 6 per cent in June, as five of the nine sectors recorded a deterioration in performance compared with the previous month, according to provisional data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Thursday. The reading marked the second print under the new series, with 2022-23 as the base year. The series replaced the earlier 2011-12 base and expanded the basket to nine sectors from eight with the addition of iron ore. The overall index rose to 121.2 in July from 120.7 in the previous month. Electricity, which has the highest weight of 30.9 per cent in the index, saw its growth slow to 9 per cent from 11.4 per cent in June. Iron ore, which carries a weight of 4.9 per cent, was the single largest contributor to the slowdown in the headline print, with growth more than halving to 29.5 per cent in July from 44.5 per cent in June. “This alone exerted a downward pressure to the tune of 95 basis points on the core output print in July relative to the previous month,” said Aditi Nayar, chief economist at Icra. Data showed that six of the nine sectors registered positive growth during the month. Iron ore, electricity, cement, steel, refinery products and coal remained in positive territory, while natural gas, crude oil and fertilisers contracted.
