ВПЕРВЫЕ НА БЛИЖНЕМ ВОСТОКЕ

В текущем месяце Парламентом Ливана принят закон об отмене смертной казни.

Ливан станет первой страной на Ближнем Востоке, официально отменившей высшую меру наказания.

Министр юстиции Адель Нассар назвал это "историческим шагом". "Отменяя смертную казнь, Ливан выбрал борьбу с убийствами, а не убийство в ответ", — заявил он.

Путь к этому решению был долгим. Формально смертная казнь в Ливане сохранялась, но фактически не применялась: последний приговор привели в исполнение еще в январе 2004 года.

Однако все это время суды продолжали выносить смертные приговоры — за убийства, терроризм, шпионаж и преступления против государства.

На начало текущего года в камерах смертников оставалось 85 человек. Теперь их приговоры будут заменены на пожизненное заключение с принудительными работами.

Новый закон также упростит процедуру экстрадиции из Ливана в страны, отменившие смертную казнь.

Дела давно минувших дней.

В 2009 году молодые офицеры и матросы американского эсминца USS JOHN PAUL JONES во время скучного 7-месячного похода записали пародию на вирусный клип рэп-группы The Lonely Island и T-Pain - "I'm On A Boat". Ролик изначально выложили во внутреннюю сеть корабля для поднятия духа. Но кому то этого показалось мало и ролик слили на YouTube. В итоге, видео набрало просмотров больше, чем весь официальный канал ВМС США.

Командование флота было в ярости. Историю довели до уровня главкома ВМС. Соответственно пошли внутриведомственные разборки. Слухи об этом расползлись по соцсетям и много кто начал записывать ролики под эту песню в знак поддержки американских моряков.

Самая известная и масштабная военная пародия после американского флота была записана сухопутными войсками Канады на военной базе Уэйнрайт. Солдаты полностью переписали текст песни под свои реалии. Вместо роскошной яхты они катаются на огромном бронетранспортере LAV III (Light Armored Vehicle). В клипе они в полной боевой экипировке эмоционально кричат в камеру: "Посмотрите на меня, я на БТР!", едят сухпайки вместо изысканных блюд, изображая суровый армейский пафос.

Американские морпехи тоже решили не отставать от флота и записали свою версию прямо во время дислокации в пустыне. Так как корабля у них под рукой не было, они залезли на гусеничный десантный амфибийный автомобиль (AAV). Текст они менять не стали, но копируя движения рэперов из оригинального клипа, прыгали на броне в своей экипировке.

Вслед за военными подтянулся и гражданский сектор.

Направление "I'm on a Float" (Я на надувном матрасе) стало популярным у многочисленных блогеров, где весь пафос песни переносился на крошечный детский бассейн на заднем дворе или обычный надувной матрас на море или речке.

Геймерская сфера также подхватила эту тему. Появились машинимы (клипы, снятые на движках видеоигр). Самые известные ролики "I'm On A Boat" создавали в World of Warcraft (показывая пиратские корабли и гоблинов) и в Minecraft (где игроки строили огромные яхты из кубиков под этот трек).

Несколько американских бейсбольных и футбольных команд снимали комедийные ролики со своими ростовыми куклами-талисманами, которых катали на катерах под эту песню во время перерывов в сезонах для развлечения фанатов.

Оригинальный трек 2009 года стал настоящим гимном для любого, кто оказывался хотя бы на маленькой лодке.

В итоге, жесткого наказания для американских моряков не последовало, их просто пожурили и сказали: "Больше так не делайте". Разумеется, этот перформанс не мог остаться незамеченным и в торговом флоте. В моей предыдущей компании пацаны тоже запилили клип на песню "Im on a boat". Ну и разумеется выложили на YouTube... В компании произошёл разрыв жепы.

С первого взгляда клип хорош. Тут тебе и прекрасная, любительского уровня, режиссёрская работа, и операторская, и монтаж, и игра "актёров", и костюмы. Да и вообще сама team work, ну и как следствие team building и вот это вот всё.

Но... Во первых - в клипе присутствуют сцены, которые никак не сходятся с ТБ и компанейским SMS. Основной претензией стали эпизоды со Второй помощницей (бельгийкой), которая изобразила кадр из "Титаника", но только на главной мачте. Не смотря на леерное ограждение площадки она всё таки находится на высоте без страховочного пояса. И эпизод, где боцман-филиппинец скачет с трезубцем на площадке вентиляционной мачты.

Во вторых - в клипе присутствуют идентифицирующие признаки, которые явно могут пойти не на пользу репутационному иммиджу компании - лого, имя танкера. Да, пиво и вино на борту официально разрешены. Но допустим, в случае какого либо серьёзного инцидента, в будущем это может сыграть против самой компании. Типа, "смотрите, они там бухают" и т.п. Всегда найдутся журналисты/блогеры, заинтересованные в поисках жаренных фактов.

Про прыжки в бассейн (которые везде запрещены), про отсутствие СИЗ как на палубе и в машине, про остальные менее важные моменты уже можно и не говорить.

В общем, пошли серьёзные разборки. Первым делом надо было убрать клип из ютюба. Тут надо сделать небольшое отступление и напомнить, что в 2009 году интернет только только начинал появляться на борту судов и возможность залить ролик весом под сотню метров, было проблемой. Поэтому, до поры до времени этот клип оставался доступным для узкого круга, пока один из механиков не выложил его в сеть, по приезду в отпуск.

Сначала, компания пыталась дозвониться механику, но не смогла. Он уже твёрдо решил поменять компанию и просто трубку не брал. Да и вообще, человек в отпуске, куда то уехал, занят. Не связавшись с виновником кипиша, компания связалась с ютюбовскими модерами что бы удалить клип. Модеры вежливо их послали и сказали что клип не нарушает политики YouTube, так что его удалить может только тот кто разместил. По итогу, они всё таки как то вышли на него и уговорами всё таки убедили удалить. Уже позже, ролик кто то всё таки залил на Одноклассники.

В итоге, увольнений не было, но мозги парили серьезно и потом в течение долгого долгого времени припоминали этот случай при каждой возможности.

Кстати, капитан LNGRV EXCELLENCE в ролике - ливанец с бельгийским гражданством. Классный дядька.

Трёха-механик с белой повязкой на голове - Дёня. Давно уже стармех.

Тип с тапочками - Automation Engineer и Стармех, исполняющий возле паровой турбины, оба хорваты.

Парень который в клипе в черной ковбойской шляпе - американец. Видно по его мимике, что у него что то не так с челюстью. Говорили что это из за полученного удара прикладом автомата, при пиратском захвате возле Сомали. После этого случая он перешел в нашу компанию. Кто застал в море 2000-е года и вспышку пиратской активности сомалийских пиратов, наверняка помнит случай с американским контейнеровозом MAERSK ALABAMA (по этому мотиву сняли фильм с Томом Хэнксом). Но это не старпом Шейн Мерфи. Похожие случаи в интернете найти не удалось, а из за давности уже и спросить не у кого. В то время, админ работал на другом танкере этой же компании и с этим парнем не пересекался. В общем, смотрите эксклюзив 15-летней давности в котором участвуют бельгийцы, голландцы, одесситы, хорваты, американцы, филиппинцы, ямайцы (бумагу в кадр бросает как раз одна из них девушка-кадет).

🇺🇸 Американские дипломаты и их семьи начинают возвращаться в посольства США на Ближнем Востоке

Сегодня благодаря моему другу узнал следующую историю. 30 июля 1880 года пресса сообщила, что в городе Хайфа группа христиан отказалась уступить дорогу группе мусульман. Вспыхнула драка, заблестели клинки, загремели выстрелы — восемь убитых, восемьдесят раненых. Возникла угроза христианского погрома, и с Кипра к Хайфе подошли два британских военных корабля, чтобы османские власти предотвратили убийства, а иначе «мы сами так предотвратим, что вам не понравится».

Что в этом особенно интересно, так это то, что в 1975 году в Бейруте ливанская гражданская война началась с того, что мусульманские боевики ФАТХ поспорили о праве проезда с христианами...
