JAG Investigating Thomas Massie for Treason
18.09.2026
President Donald J. Trump this week authorized the Judge Advocate General’s Corps to open an investigation into House Rep. Thomas Massie on suspicion of treason, Real Raw News reported. A JAG source said the orders rest on unproven claims that Massie took covert Democratic National Committee money for sidestepping the Constitution and helping Democrats split MAGA.
Massie and Trump’s uneasy history long predates the second term. They first collided in March 2020 when Massie blocked a vote on the CARES Act. Trump branded him a third-rate grandstander and urged Republicans to throw him out. By 2022 they seemed patched up. Trump endorsed Massie as a first-rate defender of the Constitution. Massie then backed Ron DeSantis in the 2024 primary and only returned after DeSantis left the race.
After the second inauguration, many MAGA voices judged that Massie had gone full RINO. He voted against the Big Beautiful Bill and against military action in Iran and Venezuela. He helped force a partial release of the Epstein files, which Trump has called a Democratic hoax. Those fights put Massie, with Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and former NSA analyst Joe Kent, on the far side of the MAGA partition.
Opposing a policy is not a crime. Under 18 U.S.C. § 201, a public official can face charges for taking anything of value in return for being influenced in an official act. Under the president’s directive, that conduct is also treated as treasonous.
On Tuesday afternoon the Staff Judge Advocate’s office in Pensacola received a three-page memo bearing Trump’s signature. It authorizes JAG to examine Massie’s votes, statements, and finances for signs he took money from political adversaries to divide MAGA and America First.
The memo cited a former Massie staffer who alleged, without evidence, that a mid-level DNC operative routed $6.2 million into Massie’s personal accounts through 501(c)(4) groups and Democratic Super PACs before Trump-endorsed challenger Ed Gallrein defeated him in the May 2026 Kentucky primary. The money was said to be earmarked to rupture MAGA, obstruct the Iran campaign and immigration enforcement, and split the coalition so Democrats could exploit the turnout gap.
An administration official said that when a sitting member of Congress appears financially motivated to peel away the base that delivered two electoral victories, the matter crosses from politics into sabotage and mutiny.
