Find Telegram channels by what they are about. Describe the channel you want in the search box above, in your own words and in any language, and TGScope looks through 3 million public channels for the ones that match, whatever they happen to be called.
Search by meaning, not just by name
Most Telegram channel finders look for your words inside channel names. That works when you already know the name. It fails for the rest: a baking channel named after its author, a job board called “RemoteGeekjob”, a news channel whose title is written in Persian.
TGScope reads what each channel is about from its public profile: title, category, topics and description. Your query is matched against that meaning, so “remote jobs” finds remote job boards and “baking recipes” finds pastry channels written in Russian and Uzbek, even when none of your words appear in their names.
Name search has not gone away. It runs on every query alongside the meaning-based one and the two lists are merged, so typing a channel’s exact username still puts that channel first. How the search works.
- 3 million public Telegram channels in dozens of languages.
- A description in your own words: “news about electric cars”, “memes for programmers”, “learn english”.
- A username, an @username or a t.me link: we cut it down to the channel name.
- Any language: a query in English finds channels written in Persian, Russian or Arabic, and the other way round.
Example searches
Here is what the search returns for ten everyday queries: the top six channels for each, as shown on Oct 13, 2026. Some are found by name, but look at the football, Persian news and baking results: most of those channels share no words with the query at all.

How to search well
- Describe the channel, not its name: “daily english vocabulary” works better than guessing a title like “English Daily”.
- Be specific about the subject. “Remote jobs for designers” narrows things down more than “jobs”.
- Use the language and category filters on the results page instead of adding a country or a language to your query.
- Looking for one particular channel? Type its username or paste its t.me link. Links like t.me/name, t.me/s/name/123 and tg://resolve work, and so does @name.
- Queries need at least three characters.

What is in the index
The catalog holds 3 million public Telegram channels, and every one of them can be found by name. Channels with a description or topics can also be found by meaning; new channels become searchable by meaning with the next index update. Each channel has its own page with its subscribers, language and topics. To see channels grouped by subject rather than as a list, open the map of Telegram channels.
Questions
How do I search for Telegram channels?
Type what the channel is about into the search box at the top of the page, for example “remote jobs” or “baking recipes”, and press Enter. You get channels whose title, topics and description match that subject, with filters for language and category on the results page.
Can I find a channel by its username or link?
Yes. Type the username, @username or paste a t.me link: links are cut down to the channel name automatically, and an exact username match always comes first. Private invite links (t.me/+…) cannot be searched.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. A query in one language finds channels written in others, and you can type in your own language too. Results lean toward the language of your query; use the language filter if you want one language only.
Why can’t I find a channel I know exists?
Channels without a description or topics are found by name only, and so are channels added after the last index update. Try the exact username. Private channels and groups that are not in our catalog cannot be found at all.
Is the search free?
Yes. Search, channel pages and filters are free and need no sign-up or Telegram login. We only use what channels show publicly.
Examples were run on TGScope search on Oct 13, 2026; results change as channels and the index are updated. Channels with fewer than 300 subscribers and adult channels are left out of the examples. Listing a channel is not an endorsement.
