The major #earthquake in #Colombia was revised to magnitude 7.4. For context: that's nearly twice (~1.995) as much energy release as magnitude 7.2, because the scale is logarithmic. Damage reports are coming in from nearby cities such as #Cali.
As Earth is moving between Mercury and Saturn, lunar peaks occur today and tomorrow, followed by a convergence of planetary conjunctions on the 18th. Temporal clustering of stronger tremors may occur as a result.
