Когда появился Hevale, на русском языке почти невозможно было найти серьёзные тексты о курдском движении, Рожаве или сирийской революции. Если такие материалы и появлялись, то чаще всего в двух формах. Либо это были новостные заметки, объясняющие очередное наступление, дипломатический кризис или изменение линии фронта. Либо тексты, в которых регион превращался в объект политических симпатий и антипатий, а живые люди исчезали за спорами об идеологиях. С самого начала проект пытался заниматься чем-то другим.

За прошедшие годы через Hevale прошли книги о Рожаве и Курдистане, воспоминания Сакине Джансыз, сборники текстов о сирийской революции, исследования самоорганизации, материалы об антифашистском движении, памяти и политическом насилии. На первый взгляд это очень разные темы. Однако между ними всегда существовала общая логика.

Нас интересовали не столько государства, сколько общества. Не столько политические лидеры, сколько люди, которые пытаются жить внутри исторических потрясений. Не столько официальная история, сколько опыт тех, кто обычно остаётся на её периферии.

Поэтому в книгах Hevale так много внимания уделяется советам, коммунам, кооперативам, местным инициативам, женским организациям и повседневной жизни. Если читать «Курдистан. Реальная демократия во время войны и блокады», быстро становится понятно, что речь идёт не только о курдском вопросе. Это попытка понять, как люди организуют общественную жизнь в условиях войны, блокады и политической неопределённости. Если открыть «Ангелов в подвалах», то за рассказами о сирийской революции обнаруживается похожий интерес к местным советам, взаимопомощи и формам самоорганизации, которые возникают там, где привычные институты перестают работать.

За десять лет изменилось многое. Война против ИГИЛ перестала быть центральной темой мировых медиа. Сирийская революция давно исчезла с первых полос большинства газет. Многие люди, которые в середине 2010-х внимательно следили за событиями в Рожаве, сегодня заняты совершенно другими вопросами. Новостная повестка всегда движется дальше. Но именно поэтому книги становятся важнее с течением времени. Новость отвечает на вопрос о том, что произошло сегодня.

Книга помогает понять, как люди жили внутри этих событий и почему они принимали те решения, которые позже превращаются в исторические факты.

Когда спустя годы читаешь воспоминания Сакине Джансыз или тексты сирийских активистов из «Ангелов в подвалах», становится заметно, насколько бедным оказывается взгляд на историю, построенный только вокруг государств, армий и дипломатии. Большая часть реальной жизни происходит в другом масштабе. В школе, которую кто-то пытается открыть во время войны. В местном совете, где спорят о распределении ресурсов. В коммуне, которая ищет способ разрешить конфликт между соседями. В культурном центре, который продолжает работать после очередной волны эмиграции.

Наверное, именно это объединяет историю Hevale с 2015 года. Проект никогда не был посвящён только Курдистану или только Сирии. Скорее он всегда был попыткой сохранить и перевести опыт людей, которые в тяжёлых обстоятельствах продолжают создавать связи между собой, строить институты, спорить о будущем и искать способы жить без готовых ответов.

Такие истории редко становятся главными новостями дня. Но именно они обычно помогают понять, что на самом деле происходит с обществом, когда вокруг него меняется история.

Last night, the United States Armed Forces, in a blatant act of aggression, carried out an attack using the air bases located in Jordan, targeting various areas in Iran, including the vicinity of a hospital treating children with cancer. As a result, 121 children suffering from cancer were evacuated. This is not the first crime committed by the United States using the bases deployed in Jordan. We must always bear in mind the noble saying of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): "The example of this world is like that of a serpent: its touch is soft, but deadly poison lies within it. The ignorant and inexperienced are attracted to it, while the wise and discerning beware of it." Second: We warn against suspicious projects and slogans promoting "disarmament" or "restricting arms" under misleading banners. These proposals are clearly intended to weaken the Front of Truth, undermine the existential identity of Islam and Shi'ism, and fragment its strength. The armies and lions of Iraq will remain the safety valve that has proven its effectiveness on every battlefield, most recently during the funeral of the Pure Guardian. Если человек имеет только гражданство Австралии, его нельзя сделать лицом без гражданства.

А если он ещё не осуждён, а только подозревается или обвиняется, лишить гражданства намного сложнее.

Поэтому часть людей возвращают не потому, что их “простили”, а потому что юридически Австралия должна либо сама судить и контролировать своих граждан, либо нарушать собственные правовые рамки.
