What you’re experiencing is the psychological power of novelty, specifically a new environment. There is this fantastic series of research by the researcher David Gonzalez and his team between 2016-2022 which essentially explored the importance of novelty for our memory, neurons and, crucially, for our personality. Los datos principales de la temporada hasta hoy son: • 5 tormentas tropicales nombradas; • 0 huracanes; • 0 huracanes de gran intensidad; • ≈4,4 ×10⁴ kt² de ACE; • ≈10% del ACE climatológico correspondiente a la fecha.

Los cinco ciclones tropicales nombrados han sido: 1. Arthur — tormenta tropical, 17–18 junio. 2. Bertha — tormenta tropical, 19–23 julio. 3. Cristobal — tormenta tropical, 12–13 agosto. 4. Dolly — tormenta tropical, 27–28 agosto. 5. Edouard — tormenta tropical, 31 agosto–2 septiembre.

El resultado es una temporada con pocos sistemas, escasa longevidad y ausencia total de huracanes, lo que explica el ACE extremadamente bajo.

El índice ACE, (Energía Ciclónica Acumulada, siglas en inglés) integra simultáneamente la intensidad y duración de los ciclones tropicales y mide la actividad ciclónica estacional total. De acuerdo a éste índice, el estado general de la temporada ciclónica hasta el día de hoy es de un comportamiento muy por debajo de lo normal con un ACE de un 90% por debajo del valor climatológico de referencia para esta fecha (ver el gráfico adjunto).

El océano atlántico tropical continúa proporcionando energía termodinámica suficiente para la formación de ciclones (la temperatura de la superficie del mar está ligeramente por encima de lo normal), pero las condiciones atmosféricas asociadas a El Niño están reduciendo considerablemente la eficiencia con que esa energía puede transformarse en actividad ciclónica.

El Niño, que se clasifica como fuerte, modifica la circulación atmosférica favoreciendo sobre el Atlántico un incremento de la cizalladura vertical del viento y alterando la convección tropical.

Aunque la temperatura de la superficie del mar sea adecuada, el ambiente dinámico impede que una perturbación tropical mantenga una circulación cerrada y una convección profunda organizada.

El resultado es una atmósfera menos favorable para la génesis e intensificación de ciclones tropicales con una actividad ciclónica extraordinariamente baja.

A pesar de esto hay que tener presente que una temporada excepcionalmente inactiva hasta hoy 7 de septiembre no implica que el resto de septiembre–noviembre vaya a permanecer necesariamente pasivo.

En los próximos 7 días no se espera la formación de ciclones tropicales.

🐍 Как улучшить читаемость кода в Python?

Читаемый код - это не роскошь, а необходимость. Если ваш код трудно понять, даже если он работает, это плохой код. Сегодня разберем несколько простых, но мощных приемов, которые сделают ваш код более понятным.

1️⃣ Используйте говорящие имена переменных Плохой пример:

a = 10 b = 20 c = a + b

Хороший пример:

price = 10 tax = 20 total_cost = price + tax

2️⃣ Разбивайте код на функции Вместо длинных кусков кода, используйте функции:

def calculate_total(price, tax): return price + tax

Теперь код можно переиспользовать и проще тестировать.

3️⃣ Следуйте PEP 8 Форматирование кода влияет на его читаемость. Например, пробелы вокруг операторов делают код более понятным:
