Check an alert before applying

Is a Telegram job alert still open? Check expired posts, reposts and corrections

A message posted today can describe an application that closed months ago. You need the employer or recruiting body’s current status, not just the freshness of the Telegram forward.

Before you apply

Match the advertisement or requisition ID, check the original application close, and look for an explicit current extension or reopening. If status cannot be confirmed, leave the vacancy off your open-application shortlist.

Keep four dates separate

The Telegram post date tells you when the publisher posted. The original notice date identifies its version. The application deadline decides when submissions close, subject to official changes. TGScope’s measurement date describes when channel data was captured. None of these can safely substitute for another.

Check dates and expired alerts: a reading worksheet
What to identifyWhat to check
Telegram post / forwardA distribution date; it can carry an old vacancy.
Original noticeA version date, which may have later corrections.
Application windowThe actual submission period and any official extension.
Channel measurementA historical observation, not a vacancy check.

Check whether a change applies to new candidates

An editing window, exam date or document-verification announcement may apply only to existing applicants. Read the exact wording of any extension or reopening. For a private role, a search result can outlive the vacancy; confirm that the employer’s own listing still accepts the relevant application and matches the requisition.

What the older examples below demonstrate

Both sample channels have a recorded last post more than 30 days before their measurement. That observation explains why “listed by TGScope” cannot mean “currently active”. It does not establish what the channels are doing now or whether a particular employer still hires. Dates are evidence about observations, not a live availability feed.

Your next checks

  1. Match the notice or requisition rather than the headline.
  2. Find the current application close and any explicit extension.
  3. Separate new applications from later recruitment stages.
  4. Mark unknown status as unknown and retain your source date.

Channel evidence: a dated sample

These are discovery examples, not verified employers or current vacancies. Order is editorial, not a trust score. Open a TGScope profile to inspect a channel before using its Telegram link.

Creation estimates and shared contacts

Creation ranges come from our channel creation date tool. They do not show an exact birthday or prove continuous ownership. Shared contacts describe publisher overlap, not employer verification.

  • @rajasthangovernmentjobsupdates: Estimated creation window: 2018-10-19 to 2021-06-24. No network observation available; ownership independence is unknown.
  • @jobupdates4: Estimated creation window: 2021-10-07 to 2022-09-27. No network observation available; ownership independence is unknown.

0 of 2 examples have a shared-contact network observation. Missing records are not evidence of independent ownership.

Questions about check dates and expired alerts

Does a recent channel post mean the vacancy is open?

No. It can be a repost, result or later-stage announcement.

Does an old last-post date prove a channel is dead?

No. It describes the historical observation available to us.

What our channel data establishes

Editorial selection from existing India/remote semantic pools, checked against local channel metadata. State selection requires a state name in geo, title, description or topic tags; language alone is not sufficient. Counts describe the displayed sample. Activity is relative to each historical measurement, not today. Contact overlap is not employer verification. Birth windows are estimates from the channel ID clock, not exact creation dates.

This cluster uses 30 distinct editorial channel examples reviewed from 376 existing candidates. Assembled on 2026-10-18; the underlying local records run through 2026-09-04. No vacancy availability, employer identity or recruitment outcome was verified. Read the evidence and limitations.
