How this list was built
The list starts from the World news hub on TGScope (28,977 channels with 300+ subscribers) and our semantic channel search, both from the catalog snapshot of October 6, 2026.
A channel counts for Nigeria when our geo label points to Nigeria, a tag names it, or the title or username mentions it; channels in a language that is not used there need an explicit mention. Language alone is never treated as proof of country.
The topic match comes from tags such as #nigeria, #politics, #africa or world news keywords in the title and description. Adult, betting and casino channels are removed and duplicate copies of the same channel are merged.
Channels are ordered by subscribers, and channels whose last post is more than a year old go to the end. Subscriber counts are from the October 6, 2026 snapshot; last-post dates are from our latest crawl of channel posts (August 13, 2026). Both change every day, so open a channel's page for the current numbers.
