Exam prep Telegram channels, ranked by real reach
Subscriber counts on exam channels include aspirants who moved on long ago and, sometimes, bought audiences. We ranked UPSC, NEET, JEE, SSC, IELTS and Konkur channels with 10K+ subscribers by the one number that is hard to fake: how many people view a typical post.
Public channels with 10K+ subscribers for each exam.
| Exam | Channels | Typical reach | Top quarter reach | Carry ads | In networks of 5+ | Created after May 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UPSC | 373 | 6.2% | 14.5% | 33% | 1.9% | 4.3% |
| NEET | 94 | 8.7% | 16.7% | 37.2% | 2.1% | 6.4% |
| JEE | 49 | 6.3% | 8% | 36.7% | 0% | 6.1% |
| SSC | 114 | 7.2% | 20% | 28.1% | 5.3% | 3.5% |
| IELTS | 119 | 11.1% | 19% | 31.1% | 8.4% | 7.8% |
| Konkur | 187 | 4.4% | 14% | 11.8% | 22.5% | 18.3% |
Reach is the share of subscribers who view a typical post. Networks are channels sharing an ad or admin contact with five or more others.
- IELTS channels are read most closely: a typical one reaches 11.1% of subscribers per post, against 4.4% for Konkur.
- Konkur channels are the odd ones out: 22.5% sit in networks of five or more and 18.3% were created after May 2024, against 1.9% and 4.3% for UPSC. Only 11.8% carry ads.
- 19.3% of SSC channels advertise PDFs or free copies of paid courses, the most of any exam. We leave such channels out of every ranking.
- The most-read channel across all six exams is PARMAR SSC (SSC), at about 171,339 views per post.
Rankings
Why real reach and not subscribers
People rarely unsubscribe when they stop reading, so an exam channel can keep a huge count long after its audience has taken the exam and moved on. Some pad the count further to sell ads. Views per post show how many students use a channel today. To check any channel yourself, see how to spot fake subscribers or run it through the channel audit.
How we ranked
Channels were found by meaning and by name: a channel counts for an exam if the exam is named in its title, username or main topics (or in its description, when the channel is closely about the exam); channels mainly about other exams were removed by hand. Only public channels with 10K+ subscribers are counted. Reach was measured in summer 2026; rankings include only channels that had posted within 30 days of measurement and leave out channels offering copies of paid books and courses. Data to 2026-09-04.
