☕️РАЗМЕР ПОРЦИИ ИМЕЕТ ЗНАЧЕНИЕ

В XIX веке в парижских кафе порция кофе была значительно меньше современной. Если речь идёт о демитассе (представлены на фото, чашки объёмом 60–90 мл) то 50 таких порций — это около 3–4,5 литров кофе. Прилично.

Исследователи считают, что ежедневное потребление около 250 грамм зёрен представляется немыслимой нагрузкой для человеческого организма, поэтому и возникают сомнения относительно такой цифры.

Вместе с тем, многие утверждения о потреблении кофе писателем основаны на слухах и воспоминаниях, а не точных подсчетах.

☕️ПРАВДА ГДЕ-ТО РЯДОМ

Более достоверной считается оценка биографа Виктора Соден Притчетта: за всю жизнь Бальзак выпил около 50 000 чашек, то есть в среднем 5-7 чашек в день. Однако в периоды интенсивной работы (так называемые «литературные ночи») он мог значительно превышать эту норму, поглощая по несколько порций за один присест. То, есть, не ежедневно, но с какой-то периодичностью он вполне мог увеличить дозу в  10 раз.

☕️ОСОБЫЙ РИТУАЛ

Бальзак не просто пил кофе, а экспериментировал с его приготовлением и употреблением:

▪️Толчёный кофе по-турецки вместо молотого — так напиток получался крепче. ▪️Заливал зёрна холодной водой, а не кипятком, чтобы усилить эффект. ▪️Пил натощак. ▪️Жевал кофейные зёрна, когда напиток переставал помогать.

В XX веке, в Канаде, даже открыли кофейную компанию в честь знаменитого писателя. Под маркой Balzac Roasters выпускается 100% арабика с различных плантаций Бразилии, Мексики, Эфиопии и Гватемалы.

☕️ПОСЛЕДСТВИЯ

Такое интенсивное потребление кофеина не могло не сказаться на здоровье писателя. К концу жизни он страдал от хронического бронхита, проблем с сердцем и общего истощения. Как следствие, Бальзак ушёл из жизни 18 августа 1850 года, в 51 год.

​ሳይንቲስቶች በኢትዮጵያ መዲና ውስጥ ስለሚገኙት በጣም ጥቃቅን የPM2.5 ኤሮሶሎች (PM2.5 aerosols) የሚያገኙት እውቀት ለአሜሪካ ከተሞች ጥቅም ሊሰጥ እንደሚችል ይጠቀሳሉ።

​በናሳ በተደገፈ የአየር ጥራት መከታተያ መረብ አማካኝነት በኢትዮጵያ መዲና አዲስ አበባ ውስጥ በእሳት፣ በናፍጣ ተሽከርካሪዎች እና በሌሎች የማቃጠል ምንጮች በሚፈጠረው ጥቁር ካርቦን (soot) ላይ እስከዛሬ ከተደረጉት በጣም ዝርዝር እና ረጅም ጊዜ የወሰዱ ጥናቶች አንዱ የቀረበ ሲሆን፤ አየሩ በየሰዓቱ እና በየወቅቱ እንዴት እንደሚቀያየርም ያሳያል። ይህም ከስራ መውጫ እና መግቢያ ሰዓታት ጥቁር ጭስ መጨመር እንዲሁም ከበዓላት ማክበሪያ እሳት ጋር የተያያዙ ጭማሪዎችን ያካትታል።

​በኒው አሜሪካን ES&T: Air ሳይንሳዊ መጽሔት ላይ በታተመው አዲስ ጥናት ሳይንቲስቶች በናሳ የባለብዙ ማዕዘን ኤሮሶል ምስል (MAIA) ፕሮጀክት አማካኝነት እኤአ ከ2022 እስከ 2025 ባሉት ዓመታት በአዲስ አበባ ከተተከሉ 10 የአየር ጥራት መከታተያ ጣቢያዎች የተሰበሰቡ መረጃዎችን ተንትነዋል።

​ጥናቱ ይፋ የሆነው ኢትዮጵያ የአየር ጥራትን ለማሻሻል የሚከተሉትን እርምጃዎች እየወሰደች ባለችበት ወቅት ነው። በ2024 (እ.ኤ.አ.) ሀገሪቱ የነዳጅ ተሽከርካሪዎችን ወደ ሀገር ውስጥ ማስገባትን የከለከለች የመጀመሪያዋ የዓለም ሀገር ስትሆን፣ ከተሞች ደግሞ የብስክሌት መንገዶችን እና የኤሌክትሪክ ተሽከርካሪ መሙያ መሰረተ ልማቶችን እየዘረጉ ይገኛሉ። የMAIA ፕሮጀክት መለኪያዎች አዲስ አበባ እያደገች እና እየተለወጠች ስትሄድ የአየር ጥራት በጊዜ ሂደት እንዴት እንደሚቀያየር ለመረዳት ለተመራማሪዎች መነሻ መረጃ ይሰጣሉ።

​ጥናቱ ትኩረት ያደረገው የዲያሜትር መጠናቸው 2.5 ማይክሮሜትር ወይም ከዚያ በታች በሆኑ ጥቃቅን ቅንጣቶች (PM2.5) ላይ ነው። በጥናቱ ላይ የተጠቀሰው የ2025 የዓለም አየር ሁኔታ ሪፖርት እንደሚገምተው ለPM2.5 መጋለጥ በየዓመቱ በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ለ4.9 ሚሊዮን ገደማ ሰዎች ሞት ምክንያት ይሆናል። ከብዙዎቹ የPM2.5 ዓይነቶች መካከል ጥቁር ካርቦን በሰው ልጅ ጤና ላይ ሊያደርስ የሚችለው ጉዳት ጥናት ተደርጎበታል።

​ጥናቱ እንደሚያሳየው የአዲስ አበባ የሶስት ዓመት አማካይ የPM2.5 መጠን 30 ማይክሮግራም በኩቢክ ሜትር ሲሆን፣ ይህም ከአሜሪካ የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ኤጀንሲ (EPA) የጤና መስፈርት ከሶስት እጥፍ በላይ ነው። አዲሱ ጥናት ከMAIA የመሬት ላይ ሴንሰሮች የተገኘውን መረጃ ጠቅሶ እንደገለጸው በአዲስ አበባ ያለው አማካይ የጥቁር ካርቦን መጠን ተልዕኮው ከሚከታተላቸው ከሶስቱ የአሜሪካ የከተማ አካባቢዎች በ4 እጥፍ እስከ 9 እጥፍ ከፍ ያለ ነው።

​በደቡብ ካሊፎርኒያ ከሚገኘው የናሳ የጄት ፕሮፐልሽን ላቦራቶሪ የMAIA ምክትል ዋና መርማሪ እና የጥናቱ ተባባሪ ደራሲ ሲና ሃሼሚናሳብ እንደተናገሩት፡ «እስካሁን ባለን እውቀት ይህ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ቀጣይነት ያለው የPM2.5 እና የጥቁር ካርቦን መለኪያዎችን ያካተተ የመጀመሪያው የረጅም ጊዜ እና የብዙ ቦታዎች ጥናት ነው። ብዙ ፈጣን እድገት ያላቸው ከተሞች የረጅም ጊዜ ክትትል የላቸውም፣ ስለዚህ እነዚህ መለኪያዎች ብክለት በቦታ እና በጊዜ ሂደት እንዴት እንደሚቀየር ለመረዳት አስፈላጊ መነሻ ይሰጣሉ።»

​የPM2.5 ስብጥር እና ምንጮች እንደየከተሞቹ አቀማመጥ፣ የትራፊክ ፍሰት፣ ኢንዱስትሪዎች እና ሌሎች ሁኔታዎች በከፍተኛ ሁኔታ ሊለያዩ ይችላሉ። ለምሳሌ የበረሃ ከተሞች ከፍተኛ አቧራ ሊኖራቸው ይችላል፣ በከሰል በሚሰሩ የኃይል ማመንጫዎች አቅራቢያ ያሉ ከተሞች ደግሞ ከፍተኛ የሰልፌት መጠን ሊኖራቸው ይችላል። በብዙ የዓለም ክፍሎች የመሬት ላይ መለኪያዎች አሁንም ውስን ናቸው።

​ጥቁር ካርቦንን መከታተል ​ታላቋ የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አከባቢ 6 ሚሊዮን አቅራቢያ ለሚሆኑ ሰዎች መኖሪያ ስትሆን፣ የተባበሩት መንግስታት ድርጅት ትንበያ እንደሚያሳየው እስከ 2050 (እ.ኤ.አ.) ይህ ቁጥር ከ10 ሚሊዮን በላይ ይሆናል ተብሎ ይጠበቃል። ​በአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የጥናቱ ተባባሪ ደራሲ እና የMAIA ፕሮጀክት ዋና የኢትዮጵያ አጋር የሆኑት አርዓያ አስፋው «አዲስ አበባ የብዙ ዓለም አቀፍ ማህበረሰቦች መኖሪያ የሆነች ኮስሞፖሊታን ከተማ ናት፤ የአውሮፓ ህብረት መቀመጫ እንደሆነችው እንደ ብራሰልስ የአፍሪካ ስብስብ አድርገው ሊያስቧት ይችላሉ» ብለዋል።

​«ማታ ላይ የትራፊክ እንቅስቃሴ በሚቀንስበት ጊዜ እንኳ ከከሰል እና ከሌሎች ነዳጆች መቃጠል ከፍተኛ ጭስ እና ብክለት ሲወጣ ይታያል» ሲሉ አርዓያ አስፋው አክለው ገልጸዋል።

​የMAIA ሴንሰር መረብ በአዲስ አበባ ደመቅ ብለው በሚከበሩ ሁለት ትልልቅ በዓላት ወቅት የጥቁር ካርቦን መጨመርን ያስተዋለ ሲሆን፣ በበዓላቱ ከተለኮሱ እሳቶች የሚወጡ ቅንጣቶችን ከነዳጅ ተሽከርካሪዎች ከሚወጡት ለይቶ ማወቅ ችሏል። ይህ ግኝት ዝርዝር መለኪያዎች ተመራማሪዎች የተለያዩ የብክለት ምንጮችን እንዲለዩ እና የአየር ጥራት በከተማዋ እና በጊዜ ሂደት እንዴት እንደሚለያይ የተሻለ ግንዛቤ እንዲያገኙ እንዴት እንደሚረዳ ያሳያል።

Voices of Strength: Afar Women Step into the Leadership Spotlight

Public speaking training equips women survivors with the tools to reclaim their narratives, share their lived experiences on their own terms, and transform personal pain into a powerful catalyst for advocacy. In relation to this, Ethiopian Women Lawyers’ Association (EWLA), with support @French Embassy, conducted a two-day Leadership and Public Speaking Training at Semera, Afar Region from August 13-14, 2026.

The training brought together selected women, including survivors, to strengthen their leadership, confidence and communication skills. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants enhanced their ability to effectively express their views, participate in decision-making processes, and contribute to peace-building initiatives within their communities.

The initiative reflects EWLA and the French Embassy's commitment to promoting women's leadership and meaningful participation in community development and peace-building efforts.
