#Relaxation

In Penguinopolis, time was considered an outdated asset. The central bank set interest rates at zero, then decided zero was still too harsh and lowered them further. Saving money now came with a fee, while borrowing was nearly free.

In the city square stood the Machine of the Future. Inside its glass cylinder spun Bitcoin, stocks, bonds, and blue Solana coins. Pipes connected it to screens showing Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, and the S&P 500. Every chart pointed upward with such confidence that it seemed gravity had been abolished by the board of directors.

Every day at exactly 3:00 p.m., two penguins performed a ceremonial exchange.

The first handed over one gold coin. The second promised to return two someday.

“Why two?” asked a young penguin named Pico.

“Because waiting has value,” replied Frost, an old banker.

“But the interest rate is zero.”

“Exactly. That’s why no one knows what waiting is worth anymore.”

Cheap money quickly transformed the city. Penguins built towers nobody needed, because financing a useless tower was cheaper than honestly admitting it was useless. Unprofitable factories stayed open by taking new loans to service old ones. In financial reports, this was called resilience.

One company began selling subscriptions for snow delivery to Antarctica. Its stock rose tenfold.

“But snow is free here,” Pico said.

“Yes, but delivery can scale,” the analysts explained.

Asset owners gained the most. Their palaces became more valuable every week. Ordinary penguins discovered that wages rose slowly, while the apartments they hoped to buy had learned to appreciate faster than they could save.

Saving began to look foolish. Patience became a character flaw. Every cautious penguin watched a neighbor grow rich with borrowed money and slowly began to suspect that prudence had been invented for the poor.

Pico worked beside the Machine and one day noticed something strange. Beneath it was a hidden reservoir connected by thin tubes to every bank account in the city. No coins glowed inside.

Minutes did.

Every loan extracted time from the borrower’s future. A mortgage took years. A speculative loan stole peaceful nights. Government debt quietly drained hours from penguins who had not yet been born.

Pico summoned the manager.

“The Machine doesn’t create wealth,” he said. “It moves wealth from the future into the present.”

“Every financial system does that,” the manager replied.

“But we no longer charge for time.”

“That’s humane.”

“No. We pretend time is worthless, so we spend it without limit.”

The next day, Pico shut down the Machine. The charts froze. Then some began to fall, causing almost religious panic across the city.

Factories that survived only on credit closed. Towers became cheaper. Several famous investors suddenly remembered the phrase “cash flow.” The snow-delivery company announced that society was not yet ready for its vision.

But gradually, capital returned to places where something real was being created. Workshops repaired things instead of producing new presentations. Savings stopped melting away. Entrepreneurs began asking not only, “How much can we raise?” but also, “What will we actually make?”

A giant hourglass was installed in the square. Beneath it were the words:

“Interest does not punish the future. It reminds us that the future exists.”

Years later, Pico uncovered the Machine’s final secret. The city’s largest wallet, holding more than a million coins, belonged neither to a banker, a fund, nor the government.

It belonged to the clock.

Everything the penguins called profit, time eventually reclaimed. Only by then, they were no longer the ones setting the price.

Trump has backed down on Iran once again, canceling new massive strikes because he was urged to do so and promised that the Strait of Hormuz would be opened.

This is an almost textbook play on the TACO indicator. Remember us mentioning that Donald would go for de-escalation by the end of July? On July 26, Trump ordered a halt to strikes on Iran, and by August 2, he was already talking about a new peace deal.

What convinced Donald: ▪️ A 60% probability of a Fed rate hike at the next meeting ▪️ 30-year Treasury yields hitting their highest level since 2007 ▪️ The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve shrinking for 18 consecutive weeks, now at its lowest since 1983 ▪️ Retail investors setting a record for daily sales of US tech stock – $316M

Markets will definitely love this de-escalation, and Monday is expected to be green, but so far there is no confirmation of real negotiations or moves toward peace. What we are seeing now is Donald manipulating market sentiment to keep the US economic situation afloat.

And manipulation can reverse at any moment, triggering wild volatility. For instance, if Iran hits US tankers or military bases again, Donald will be forced to respond 😱

Trump has once again backed down from Iran, canceling new massive attacks because he was strongly urged to do so and promised to open the Strait of Hormuz.

This is almost a perfect execution of the TACO indicator. Remember, we mentioned that by the end of July, Donald would move towards de-escalation. On July 26, Trump ordered to stop strikes against Iran, and by August 2, he was already talking about a new peace deal.

What convinced Donald: ▪️ The probability of an interest rate hike by the Fed at the next meeting is 60% ▪️ The yield on 30-year Treasuries is at its highest since 2007 ▪️ The U.S. strategic oil reserve has been decreasing for 18 consecutive weeks and is now at its lowest since 1983 ▪️ Retail investors set a record for daily sales of shares in American tech companies – $316 million

Markets will definitely appreciate such de-escalation, and Monday is expected to be green, but there are currently no confirmations of actual negotiations or movements towards peace.
