How to withdraw Telegram Stars

Telegram lets an account withdraw earned Stars from 1,000 Stars (about $13), up to 21 days after they arrive. Only 5.6% of channels that received Stars in October 2026 had collected 1,000 in their last 100 posts; at its own pace the median one would need about 13 years.

How to withdraw Telegram Stars: step by step

  1. Open the balance. For a channel: Channel Info → Statistics → Monetization, or the channel’s Stars balance. For a bot: the bot’s balance in its settings. The withdrawal button appears once withdrawals are available to the account.
  2. Check the available amount. Stars received in the last 21 days may still be on hold, and the total must be at least 1,000.
  3. Choose to withdraw via Fragment. Telegram outsources reward processing to Fragment, which applies its own terms and may decline some users or countries.
  4. Connect a TON wallet on Fragment and confirm. The dollar value of your Stars is converted into Gram at the market rate.
  5. Optionally sell the coins on an exchange to get local money. This step, its fees and its identity checks are outside Telegram.

For them, spending Stars inside Telegram is the practical option: Telegram Ads credits $0.02 per Star, and Stars can pay for Premium gifts and giveaways. Stars stay valid for 3 years.

Telegram Stars withdrawal rate

Every Star pays $0.013, so 1,000 Stars pay $13 and 10,000 Stars pay $130. The rate is set by Telegram in US dollars and is the same for every creator; Telegram’s terms say it may change but is not expected to change often. Use the Stars to USD calculator for other amounts.

How to convert Telegram Stars to TON

Withdrawing is converting: Fragment sends Gram on the TON blockchain. The coin was renamed from Toncoin in June 2026; wallets and exchanges list it under the new name. Ad revenue from Telegram’s ad platform is paid the same way but becomes available two days after it accrues, not 21. See Telegram ad revenue sharing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum to withdraw Telegram Stars?

1,000 Stars on the balance of a channel, bot or other account that earned them. Telegram’s configuration also caps a single withdrawal at 25,000,000 Stars.

How long does it take to withdraw Telegram Stars?

Earned Stars can become available up to 21 days after they arrive. Once available, the payout goes through Fragment to a TON wallet; converting the coins to local money is a separate step on an exchange.

Can I withdraw Telegram Stars to a bank account?

Not directly. Fragment pays in Gram, the coin formerly called Toncoin, to a TON wallet. Moving it to a bank account requires selling the coins on an exchange or another service, with its own fees and checks.

Can I withdraw Telegram Stars I bought?

No. Withdrawals are for earned Stars: Stars received by a channel, a bot, a group or an account that charges for messages. Stars bought in the app are for spending inside Telegram.

Why can’t I withdraw my Telegram Stars?

The usual reasons are a balance below 1,000 Stars, Stars still inside the 21-day hold, refunds, or a region where Fragment cannot issue rewards. Telegram can also withhold Stars it considers abusive.

Sources and method

We read the last 100 public posts of 107,721 Telegram channels with at least 1,000 subscribers, collected from the web version of each channel between October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026. 86,682 of them posted within 30 days of collection and form the base of every share on this page. The window covers 9,008,552 posts; for the median channel it spans 54 days. Channels with fewer than 20 posts are left out.

Star reactions are the paid reactions shown under each post: the counter is the number of Stars readers sent, and Telegram credits those Stars to the channel. Dollar values use the creator payout rate of $0.013 per Star; they are estimates of the Stars’ payout value, not of anyone’s bank balance. Links are classified by domain and by Telegram link type (bots, mini apps, invite links, gift and boost links). Ad markers are text labels such as erid, #ad or #реклама; unlabelled ads are not counted. Topic and language are neural-network labels from our channel index; channel creation periods come from the numeric channel ID and are intervals, not dates.

Days to 1,000 Stars divide 1,000 by each channel’s Stars per day over the time its last 100 posts cover. It is a pace estimate, not a forecast: Stars arrive irregularly, often in a few large reactions.

Telegram rules and prices were checked on October 28, 2026: Telegram client configuration reference (core.telegram.org/api/config): stars_usd_withdraw_rate_x1000 = 1300, stars_usd_sell_rate_x1000 = 1410 and the Star limits; Telegram Content Creator Rewards terms (telegram.org/tos/content-creator-rewards); Telegram Terms of Service for Bot Developers (telegram.org/tos/bot-developers), section 6.2. We measure what public posts show. Private channels, deleted posts, Telegram’s own ad revenue, paid media inside unopened posts and private deals are not visible to us.
