Telegram affiliate program
Telegram’s affiliate program, launched in December 2024, pays referrers a share of what referred users spend in mini apps, in Stars. In October 2026, 0.5% of 86,682 active channels posted Telegram affiliate links, against 7.3% with marketplace links and 2.4% with crypto exchange links.
How does the Telegram affiliate program work?
Developers of mini apps and bots publish an affiliate program with a commission and a duration. Users and channels join it and share a referral link; Telegram tracks purchases made with Stars by the referred users and credits the commission to the referrer. Commissions keep running for the promised period even if the developer ends the program early. Telegram affiliate links carry a referral code that starts with “_tgr_”, which is how we recognise them.

The 452 channels with affiliate links are mostly crypto, religion, humor and memes channels; 32.1% of them also receive Star reactions and 96.7% post other bot referral links.
Telegram affiliate marketing with shop and exchange links
Outside Telegram’s program, affiliate income comes from marketplace and exchange referrals. These are far more common in public posts.

How does the Telegram affiliate program work?
A mini app or bot developer sets a commission and a duration. Any user or channel can join from the Stars balance screen, get a referral link and share it; when referred users pay in the app with Stars, the referrer receives the agreed share in Stars in real time.
How do I join the Telegram affiliate program?
Open Settings → My Stars (or a channel’s or bot’s Stars balance) and find the affiliate programs section. Pick a program, copy its link and post it. Programs can be sorted by start date, total revenue or potential profit.
How much does the Telegram affiliate program pay?
The developer decides the percentage and how long it applies after a user joins. Telegram does not publish an average; commissions arrive in Stars and follow the same withdrawal rules as other earned Stars.
Is Telegram affiliate marketing only for mini apps?
Telegram’s own program is for mini apps and bots. Channels also run ordinary affiliate marketing with marketplace and exchange referral links, which pay outside Telegram.

Sources and method
We read the last 100 public posts of 107,721 Telegram channels with at least 1,000 subscribers, collected from the web version of each channel between October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026. 86,682 of them posted within 30 days of collection and form the base of every share on this page. The window covers 9,008,552 posts; for the median channel it spans 54 days. Channels with fewer than 20 posts are left out.
Star reactions are the paid reactions shown under each post: the counter is the number of Stars readers sent, and Telegram credits those Stars to the channel. Dollar values use the creator payout rate of $0.013 per Star; they are estimates of the Stars’ payout value, not of anyone’s bank balance. Links are classified by domain and by Telegram link type (bots, mini apps, invite links, gift and boost links). Ad markers are text labels such as erid, #ad or #реклама; unlabelled ads are not counted. Topic and language are neural-network labels from our channel index; channel creation periods come from the numeric channel ID and are intervals, not dates.
