Affiliate and short links in Telegram deal channels: where they really go
Most deal channels earn money when you buy through their link. That is not a problem in itself — but you should know where a link goes before you type a password or a card number.

How deal channels earn
Affiliate programmes pay a publisher a commission on purchases made through its link. The link usually carries an identifier — on Amazon a “tag=” parameter — or passes through a redirect service. Many channels also sell advertising slots, so a single feed can mix affiliate deals, paid placements and links to its own other channels.
Why links are shortened
Short links keep posts readable, count clicks and hide long tracking parameters. 19.3% of collected posts contained a recognisable shortened link. The habit differs by language: 36.2% of English-language posts used one, against 3.9% of Russian-language posts, where links are more often hidden behind words — only 39.2% of Russian-language posts showed a visible web address at all.
See the destination before you act
On a phone, long-press a link to see its address; on a computer, hover over it. Telegram may also ask you to confirm before opening a link hidden behind text. After the page opens, read the domain in the address bar. Sign in or pay only when it is the store you expect, spelled correctly.
What a redirect can change
A redirect can send you to a different country store, variant or seller from the one in the post, or to a cashback portal first. The affiliate commission normally does not increase the price you pay, but it can explain why a channel prefers one store over another.
Privacy and a simple alternative
Redirect services record your click and may set cookies. If you prefer not to pass through them, open the store directly and search the model number. You lose nothing except the channel’s commission — and that choice is yours to make.
Before you buy
- Long-press or hover to see the link address.
- After opening, read the domain in the address bar.
- Confirm country store, variant and seller.
- Sign in or pay only on the genuine store.
What collected posts show, by language
Shares of 47,142 collected posts from deal channels in the four languages our patterns cover best. Each bar is the share of that language’s posts containing the signal.

Where visible links point
Visible link domains in collected posts, counted by the number of channels that used each at least once. Shortened domains hide the final store until the link is opened.

Questions about Affiliate & short links
Is it safe to click affiliate links in Telegram deal channels?
An affiliate redirect to a genuine store is normally safe. The risk is a link to a look-alike page, so check the domain before signing in or paying.
Do affiliate links track me?
They record the click and attribute your purchase to the publisher. If you prefer not to, open the store directly and search for the product.
About this data
The catalog was extracted on 2026-10-18 from a read-only snapshot of the TGScope database, not from a new Telegram crawl; its latest catalog check is 2026-09-19. A deal channel here is a public channel with 1K+ subscribers whose title, username or tags name deals, discounts, coupons, cashback, freebies or a marketplace in one of several languages. We removed betting, casino, crypto, adult, account-reselling, replica-finder, follower-selling, game-skin and earning-app channels, and deduplicated records.
Post shares come from 56,138 public posts published between 2026-06-12 and 2026-10-01 by 1,928 of these channels and collected by our crawler — a sample, not every post. We read visible text only: links hidden behind words and edit history are not seen, so link shares are lower bounds. Labels and conditions are detected with patterns tuned for English, Russian, Italian and Spanish.
Promotion level and posting rhythm are content-analysis ratings recorded when each channel was analysed. Reach uses the recorded views-per-subscriber ratio only for 10K+ channels analysed before 27 July 2026 with a post within 30 days before analysis, excluding a known placeholder value. Languages are detected automatically and are not evidence of a channel’s country.
We do not test codes, prices, stock or sellers, and nothing on these pages is a live deal. Channels in samples are catalog records, not endorsements, and inclusion does not establish official status.
