The exams Ethiopian channels revolve around
Most education channels in our pool name one of a few milestones. The grade 12 national exam decides university entry; the Ministry of Education runs an online information desk for it with exam centres, schedules and admission details. Students below the direct-entry level can be offered a remedial programme. University graduates sit a national exit exam, introduced for all undergraduate programmes from the 2022/23 academic year. Graduate admission tests (NGAT) and freshman courses form a further group.

Our education pool has 207 channels with exam, entrance, remedial, university or freshman signals, 100 of them with 10,000 or more subscribers. 42% are labelled English, the highest share of any Ethiopian topic, because universities and exam-prep services often post in English. Their median estimated views per post were about 5,586, the highest of any topic we track.

Telegram is good for past questions, worked solutions and reminders. It is a poor place to learn your result or placement: screenshots circulate before, after and instead of official releases. Check results, cut-off points and placement through the Ministry’s or your university’s official channels.
Watch for exam scams
Offers to sell leaked papers, change results or guarantee placement are scams or crimes. Do not send money or your admission details to anyone who promises them. A legitimate tutor sells teaching, not answers.

The channel set was extracted on 6 October 2026 from TGScope’s catalog of analysed public channels with at least 1,000 subscribers. A channel is included when its posts are detected as Amharic or Afaan Oromo, its estimated audience region mentions Ethiopia or an Ethiopian region, or its topic tags describe Ethiopia. Adult content is excluded from the set.
Activity, age and reach fields were re-read on 18 October 2026 from the same catalog copy; 23 usernames could not be matched. The newest catalog check in this copy is dated 1 October 2026, the newest content analysis 13 August 2026 and the newest observed post 12 August 2026. Nothing here is a live Telegram check.
